Introduction

        

           My name is Ian Cook, I am a freshman at Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio as the fourth of five kids. I'm studying Pre-Mechanical engineering, and am also interested in Sports Analytics, Running, Hockey and Music. 

Today I attended Math 112( Calc Class), BIO 100 (General Biology) and MUSIC 311R (University Chorale). After my classes, I attended a free concert in the Museum of Art for the University Singers- BYU's Top Choral group. I then spent some time talking to my mom on the phone and then studied and met with a Peer Mentor as a checkup halfway through this first semester of college. Tonight I'm going to a BIO review session, Family Home Evening and then chalking out quotes on the sidewalk for my Book of Mormon Class. 

I felt prompted to start this blog, today 10.30.2017 and I'm excited to see where it leads! I think i'm going to post a mixture of a journal of daily events as well as just personal reflections about myself or whatever else seems to wander into my mind. But I am going to commit to posting everyday at least once. Hope you enjoy the thoughts and stories I share going forward.

Wow I completely forgot about this, but anyways I'm going to try and be more consistent on here. Here's a quick update on life: School: Taking 17 Credits (yikes) American Heritage Statistics 121 ME 101 Static Engineering Math 113 Eternal Families (REL 200) Mission Preparation (REL 130) Running: I've run twice this last week, promised myself I would be consistent in march to be able to race at least once outdoor. Hoping to break 2:00 Intramural: I play hockey once a week on Wednesday nights at drop in. It's been a lot of fun and I've really enjoyed learning and growing. Work: I work at the Culinary Support Center for BYU Dining Services, driving a truck, delivering food and supplies to the various locations on campus. Places I've delivered: Cannon, MTC, MOA Cafe, Food To Go, Blue Line, Legends Grill, Vending, CONE. The guys are great, Jason my boss is really nice and easy to work for.
